Soho Painters & Decorators
Studios & working offices
A reception room may need presence; an edit suite may need visual restraint. Describe how each workspace is used, then develop the decoration around the equipment, light and operating schedule that support it.
Discuss your project
Let the technical brief lead specialist rooms
For editing, grading or recording space, obtain the operator’s requirements before proposing colours or coatings. Mark acoustic panels, projection surfaces, calibrated lighting and other specialist installations that must remain untouched. Decoration should follow the approved room specification; a dark wall by itself does not establish a suitable technical environment.
Reconcile period rooms with current use
Locate original-looking joinery, later partitions, fitted desks and service routes on the same room schedule. Where ceilings or walls are high, establish how access equipment can enter without disturbing workstations. Ask which fittings can be temporarily removed and who is authorised to do it. Retained panelling and new cabinetry may need separate preparation even when the final colours are close.
Release rooms against the actual booking diary
List edit sessions, client meetings and staff occupation alongside the requested work dates. Agree who moves equipment and how disconnected rooms are secured. For a phased office repaint, define the point at which one room is handed back before another is emptied. Include the time needed for product curing, ventilation and reinstatement in that sequence.
Keep the shared building informed
Provide the building manager’s delivery instructions and the person responsible for alarms and keys. Identify adjacent homes or businesses that share a stair, courtyard or ventilation route. If the programme depends on an evening or early start, use the access guide to frame the council and building checks before confirming the shift.
Tell us what you have in mind
A room. A frontage.
A place to begin.
Share the Soho property address and a short outline of the work. For occupied premises, add the hours the space can be released and any instructions from the person managing the building.
Introduce your project
A little about the rooms, their condition and your intended finish will help frame the conversation.
